Aecon Construction Group of Canada has been awarded the contract by the Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines for the design and construction of the new Kingstown Port Modernisation project, Lot 1: Primary Cargo Port in Kingstown, St Vincent.  We are currently seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following position:



Foreman Riggers / Banksman

The Rigging Foreman is responsible for leading work crews and workers engaged in the lifting and moving of materials, and machines, while utilizing power operated equipment such as hoists, winches, cranes,

Minimum of 7 years relevant experience with the ability to lead a team and certification from a recognised training body.

 

Riggers / Banksman

Candidates will have at least 5 years relevant experience. Certification from a recognised training body is preferred but not essential. Testing and certification will be provided for candidates with exceptional experience but no certification.

 

Boat operator

Candidates with at least 5 years experience of operating power boats up to 12m long with outboard motors. RYA Power boat Level 2 certification (or equivalent) required. Basic outboard motors mechanical skills would be advantageous.

 

HD Mechanics

Minimum of 6 years’ experience and knowledgeable in the daily inspection of construction equipment such as 200-ton Crawler and 100-ton mobile cranes; 10-ton material handlers, earthmoving equipment, Concrete truck mixers and concrete overhead pumps.  Familiar and knowledgeable with hydraulic and electrical systems 12/24 volts.  Must be able to maintain and repair diesel injection-pumps and systems, conduct preventive maintenance, diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul when required.  Experience of working on international projects under strict health and safety conditions is preferable.  References essential

 

Auto Mechanic

Minimum of 6 years’ experience as an Auto Mechanic, the ideal candidate will conduct minor and major maintenance of all light vehicles; inspect, overhauls, services and repairs the mechanical parts including engines, gearboxes, clutches and brakes.

 

Mason Foreman

Responsible for supervising a team masons, allocating and ensuring that all work is completed safely and on time.
