Consultancy Services for Contract Management to Fort Charlotte,

Fort Murray, Fort Irene, Fort Rapid and Fort Hamilton

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the OECS Regional Tourism Competitiveness Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

 

The consulting services (“the Services”) include assistance to the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Sustainable Development and Culture to articulate for Fort Charlotte: A Sustainable Business Plan for the period 2022 – 2023, for its management and optimal operation, as well as for marketing, financing, and commercialization which will support the development of tourism activities and services at and around the site, that is gender inclusive and results in increased tourism spending. The consultancy is expected to commence in February 2022 and for a duration of 150 days.

The Economic Planning Division now invites eligible persons (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the following required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services:

 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, or other related fields;
  • A minimum of ten (10) years general experience, with specific experience in historic building restoration and significant knowledge of local history;
  • Experience with donor programmes and knowledge of procurement procedures used by multilateral or bilateral donors (e.g., The World Bank, Caribbean Development Bank and the European Union) will be an asset.

 

The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants [under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants] by World Bank Borrowers January 2011, revised July 2014 (“Consultant Guidelines”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

 

A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Individual Consultant (IC) method set out in the Consultant Guidelines.
