QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Technical competencies should include the following:

  • Educational Qualification
    • Minimum Requirement: A Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education Leadership, Business Administration, Pubic Administration, or a related discipline).
    • Preferred: an earned Doctorate in a relevant field from a recognized university.
    • Additional Training: Courses in Educational Leadership
  • Professional Experience
    • Minimum Requirement :
    • At least 7 years of progressive leadership experience in a higher education institution or related field.
    • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, financial management, administrative procedures and academic programme oversight.
    • Preferred:
    • At least 10 years of leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing diverse teams and leading large-scale initiatives.
    • Experience in fundraising, partnerships, and navigating the regulatory environment of higher education.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Task will include but not limited to:

  • Providing strategic leadership and direction to the College, aligning with its mission and vision.
  • Overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of academic programmes.
  • Managing the College’s financial operations, including budgeting and reporting.
  • Leading human resource functions, fostering a supportive work environment, and ensuring compliance with labour laws.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government, industry partners, and the community.
  • Developing and implementing College policies and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Managing facilities and infrastructure to ensure a safe and conductive learning environment
  • Leading fundraising initiatives to support scholarships, programmes, and infrastructure.
  • Project Management.
  • Seeking and establishing relationships and opportunities for collaboration with other regional and international institutions.
  • Supervising accreditation and quality assurance activities for college.

Salary will be paid commensurate of the articulated job requirements.
