Digital Media Specialist

 


 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Digital Media Specialist to join our Communications team. This role is responsible for producing high-quality visual content, including photography, videography and graphic design to enhance our brand’s storytelling and engagement across digital and social media platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling, technical expertise in multimedia production, and experience managing content across various social media channels.

 


 

Key Responsibilities include:

 

Content Creation & Production:

 

  • Capture high-quality photographs and videos to support marketing, branding, and communication initiatives.

  • Edit and produce engaging video content for social media and internal communications.

  • Design visually compelling graphics, infographics, and promotional materials for digital and print media.

  • Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, and visual identity across all content.

 

 

Social Media & Digital Strategy:

 

  • Assist with the management and maintenance of the organization’s social media platforms.

  • Monitor social media trends and analytics to refine content strategy and improve performance.

 

 

Collaboration & Project Management:

 

  • Work closely with the Communications team to align multimedia content with overall organizational goals.

  • Manage multimedia assets and maintain an organized digital content library.

 

 


 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

 

  • Proven experience in photography, videography and graphic design.

  • Proficiency in industry standard video and photo editing software.

  • Diploma or Associate Degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media Design, Multimedia, Digital Marketing, Photography and Video Production or a related area.

  • At least two years experience producing professional quality photography, videography and graphic design.

  • Strong storytelling abilities with a keen eye for composition, colour, and branding.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of social media analytics tools and ability to use insights to optimize content performance.

  • Availability to work flexible hours in keeping with the requirements of the job.
