X Bank International Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant / Auditor to join our international banking team in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. This role is critical to maintaining financial integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting robust internal control frameworks across the organisation.
The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of finance, risk, and governance, providing assurance that financial reporting and operational practices meet the highest international banking standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements in line with IFRS/GAAP
- Manage reconciliations and month-/year-end close processes
- Plan and execute internal audits; assess and strengthen controls
- Support external audits and regulatory inspections
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, AML, and KYC frameworks
- Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Report findings and provide insights to senior management
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Solid knowledge of financial reporting and audit standards
- Understanding of banking regulations and internal controls
- High integrity and professional judgement
- Clear communication and stakeholder engagement
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent)
- Five plus years’ experience in accounting/audit within financial services
- International banking or regulated environment experience preferred
