Accounts Clerk – Construction Company

Role overview

We’re seeking an organized Accounts Clerk to manage day-to-day accounting tasks: accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, data entry, invoicing, petty cash, and basic payroll support. You’ll support the finance manager and help maintain clean, compliant financial records.

Key responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices and payments; match purchase orders and receipts
  • Reconcile bank accounts and supplier statements
  • Maintain ledgers and financial records in accounting software (QuickBooks)
  • Prepare routine financial reports and assist with month-end close
  • Manage petty cash and expense claims
  • Support payroll preparation and NIS and VAT filings as required
  • Communicate with suppliers, subcontractors and project teams

Requirements

  • 1–3 years’ experience in accounts/finance, preferably with construction or trades clients
  • Proficient with accounting software (QuickBooks) and MS Excel
  • Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good communication and ability to work in a small team
  • Diploma in Accounting at a College level or equivalent desirable; enrollment in an accounting program would be advantageous
  • Police check and right to work in St. Vincent may be required
